Our Story

Ours is a story born from the land, amidst gnarled olive trees and the intense aroma of new oil.

A story made of calloused hands, sunrises in the fields, and a love for authentic things. It is the story of a family from Puglia, now in its third generation, who has chosen to dedicate their lives to cultivating olive trees and producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil.

The Terre di Lidia farm spans approximately 100 hectares, including olive groves and almond orchards, in the countryside of Bitonto, at the heart of the protected designation of origin DOP Terra di Bari – Bitonto.

Our estates are distributed between the Adriatic Sea and the first hills of the Murge, encompassing diverse climates and soils. This allows us to carry out a staggered harvest, following the natural rhythms of our olives. We start from the areas closest to the sea, where the fruits ripen first, and gradually move inland, where the harsher temperatures of the Murge slow down ripening, allowing us to pick each olive at the perfect moment.

The two main cultivars we grow are Coratina and Ogliarola barese. The first is powerful, rich in polyphenols, bitter and spicy just right; the second is more delicate and rounded, with fruity notes typical of traditional Apulian oil. From their combination, different oils are born, each with a precise personality, but always a sincere expression of our territory.

The harvest is done by hand, with the help of small mechanical aids, to respect the integrity of the fruit. Every phase is carefully monitored, because we know that good oil is made among the branches, long before milling.

In 2015, driven by the desire to control the entire process and guarantee maximum quality, we built our own on-site oil mill. Since then, we exclusively process our own olives, in full compliance with the short supply chain: from the land to the mill, to bottling. No intermediate steps, no compromises.

Our name, Terre di Lidia, is no coincidence: it encapsulates a deep connection with our family roots, a tribute to the figure who inspired our agricultural and human vision.

All of this comes to life in a unique landscape, which we invite you to discover by visiting the page dedicated to our territory: gentle hills, dry stone walls, blooming almond trees, and centuries-old olive trees that speak of history and future.

We are Terre di Lidia, but even more, we are guardians of our land. We cultivate with respect, produce with passion, and continue to believe that every bottle of extra virgin olive oil contains much more than food: it encapsulates a culture, an identity, and a legacy to carry forward.
